Q: Are there any hidden catches?

A: No. I try to create a ‘win-win’ situation for both of us. You ‘win’ as you receive the cash you need to move quickly, and get to sell your property under your terms, whilst I ‘win’ by saving slightly on the price of your home. In this way, we help each other out.

Q: Which areas of the country does Buy My cover?

A: Buy My covers the whole of the United Kingdom tho help you get a quick house sale for release equity from your home.

Q: Do I have to accept the offer immediately?

A: You are under no obligation to accept any offer made, and you have 4 weeks to decide whether or not to accept the offer. Buy My can arrange exchange and completion dates to suit you so you can proceed as slowly or as quickly as you wish. Simply contact us on 0161 8774142 for more information. If after 4 weeks you decide not to accept the offer then please bear me in mind for the future.

Q: Will anybody find out about the sale?

A: No, rest assured, the process is totally private & confidential. If you decide to rent back, no-one need know that your house has even been sold.

Q: What type of properties do you buy?

A: Buy My buys all types of properties, including ex-local authority, and those in need of refurbishment.

Q: Do I need to re-decorate my property first?

A: No, there is no need to spend money re-decorating your home, as houses are bought regardless of condition.

Q: Do you purchase properties of any value?

A: There are no lower or upper limits on the value of properties purchased.

Q: How do your offers compare to those I'd get from an estate agent?

A: Estate agents generally increase the asking price on properties to allow for an element of negotiation, and partly because by giving a higher valuation they are more likely to get your business. I usually offer around 75-80% of the current market value (that is, the price your house would be worth to achieve a sale within 4-6 weeks. This is also based on comparable sales information to properties in your area).

Q: Will my estate agent mind if I sell direct to you?

A: Estate Agents will not be happy to lose the 2-3% commission you would have paid to them had they managed to sell your home. However, you have to put yourself first in this situation, and accept that a quick sale is important to you, and it is your right to sell to someone else direct. You should always read the estate agents agreement and ensure there are no tie-ins or fees. If there are, then you can always look to cancel the agreement .
